12 recruits volunteered to pay tribute to those who lost their lives during the Great War of 1914/18. The majority of these graves are Australian or Canadian and there is also a memorial plaque to those Canadian's who died at Larkhill under canvas before they could be repatriated back to Canada. Cllr Graham Wright, Chairman of Durrington Town Council, was delighted to accept the offer from The Royal Artillery to help lay the crosses as part of their drive to work in partnership with the Larkhill Garrison.
