It was good to see such a great turn-out at the recent Big Tidy Up run by the Durrington WI on Sat 26th Sep. Everyone was in high spirits, armed with their large black bags and with such a beautiful day the local residents grouped together to hear of the task ahead pointing out the areas which were in need of clearing. Protected with gloves and various other objects, they all marched off in military precision into different directions! It was excellent to see some students from Avon Valley College, Charlie Vigor, Sam Bell-Smith and Stefan Heath with younger brother Jacob and mum, Jo Heath taking part. With the all the black bags finally stacked up after outside the village hall filled to the brim, it was agreed that a great job had been done. With light refreshments on hand everyone thought that they would do exactly the same next year
