The
Larkhill troop of Wiltshire Army Cadets helped the Town Council
and other helpers to place over 250 Poppy Crosses on the war
graves at Durrington Cemetery. Chairman of the Council Graham

MILLENIUM
PARK ABLAZE
Durrington Fireworks Display was the best ever on record. Hundreds
of people braved a damp night to experience a magnificent show
and to raise funds for local charities. The All Saints Church
with help from the Town Council provided the festivities and
this year has made Durrington Display a firm favourite venue

BIKE
SAFETY CAMPAIGN
Durrington Town Council in association with the Police and funding
from Wiltshire Council ran a 'Bike Safety Campaign' where over
50 children registered for a free combination lock and chain.
The Police checked the safety of all the cycles and set out
agility tests that everyone enjoyed. This event was very successful
and is part of the Town Councils Safety Initiative Programme.
The Crime Prevention Team are looking to follow this up with
'Cool Lights for Winter Nights' an innovative idea that is directed
at making sure that all bikes are lit when being ridden in the
dark.
