Durrington are bowling their way to a Hat Trick!

Durrington Bowls Team is on track to win the Wiltshire Short Mat Bowls League for the 3rd consecutive year. The team was formed in 2003 and now has 36 playing members with a list of people waiting to join. Most of the members had never bowled before joining the club and in the first year of league bowling the team finished bottom of the table. Enthusiasm, team spirit and regular bi weekly practice has now honed the Durrington team into a powerful group of committed bowlers. Because the standard of bowling is now so high the results of local club championships are always very close.
The club meet every Monday evening (7pm) and Thursday afternoons (2pm) for a 3 hour session. The club hold regular social activities and donate 50% of the monies raised at their annual Jumble Sale to charity, this year £200 was donated to the Durrington Ward at Salisbury Hospital.

Salisbury District Council enabled us to buy new mats through a SWAG grant scheme and we wish to thank the Plough Inn for their sponsorship over the past 4 years.
